Opening morning rifle deer season in Michigan. Beautiful morning 27°, 16" snow. Deer are in pre rut stage. One nice buck this morning at dark but couldn't count points only nice main beams. Looks promising.

That's a beauty. Southern Mi has them too. Definitely a record year down there for weather. Looks like you made a great choice

Yes they do have some nice ones in the southern part to many hunters for me I like going back home

Looks like this guy thinks he found success in the deer woods too. He dug a den right under my hanging buck and managed to eat a good portion of his rear quarter. Tonight I decided to hand feed him some venison sausage hoping he'll leave me some venison to take home. One thing I found out about Badgers. They don't like close encounters with humans. When he growled, the hair stood up on the back of my neck. Not my kind of party. Couple pics of him eating venison sausage outside his den
