At the club this morning and a couple of members were shooting 17 HMR's. They had steel dingers at 100yds then later moved them out to 200yds. I was about to leave and my friend asked me if I was in a hurry. I'm retired, so I'm never in a hurry. He ask me to shoot his rifle. Its a new Savage with a rotary mag like a 10-22 with a BSA Sweet 17 scope. I hardly ever turn down the opportunity to shoot someone else's ammo. LOL, so I said sure. What do you want me to shoot at? He had a 4" steel set up at 200yds and said shoot that. He said he had hit at 100 and again at 150 but could not hit it at 200yds. He shoots off a bi-pod and I do my worse shooting off them but said I'd give it a go. I rang it 3 for 3 and said I hate to tell you this but it ain't the rifle. I laughed, he laughed, his buddy laughed. I said keep after it and you'll get there. I love shooting someone else's ammo. Made my day.
