I love these days at a match, where everything seems great, your about to finish first in your rifle class. Your on the last target, shoot your sighter, lands on an 10x. Go over to the target, same wind conditions and it’s 1.5 inches off. Go back to the sighter, shoot another 10x, back to target, same condition, get a 8 ring. And just for giggles, happens one more time for good measure and drop to second place. Am I the only one??

I shoot F-Open. I have had days where I can't buy a 10 or an X. I don't know why. The winds 'taint bad, the heat waves are tolerable and the load is great! Why? I don't know. Conversely, I have had days where I am guessing at a wind call, and it becomes an X. I have bumped the trigger NOT KNOWING where the bullet will land and it comes up a 10 or an X! I have found this simple truism: "If it is YOUR day to win, you can't do anything wrong! BUT if it isn't your day to win, you can't do much right! Why? I don't know! I am the same person as last week! The rifle shoots just as well as last week.. The "conditions" are about the same as last week! So why???
