My older brother has his deer rifle. 1968 Model 70 300 Win Mag with 4x Redfield scope.Sorry for your loss. I lost mine in 1987. He wasn't a target shooter just a hunter and fisherman. He taught me to hunt and fish. I have very fond memories of those times. His deer rifle was a 30-30 Winchester Model 94, open sights. He took 18 bucks with it in the "big woods" of central PA.
Hope your dad's rifle brings back pleasant memories for you.
Take Care and God Bless.

I don’t guess I’d take ten times what it’s actually worthView attachment 1331567View attachment 1331568View attachment 1331569View attachment 1331570
I have some wooden stocked rifles from my days competing XTC Matches that my dad finished the stocks on. I don't think I will ever let them go...Certain things are priceless
The op can't answer for his beloved father but with the way I shoot group l would think it is to keep his cheek off the stock true benchrest Style .Beautiful rig. I couldn’t help notice the scope rings. Is there a reason for the height?
