That’s awesome.
I’ve just started handloading in January this year, but I couldn’t get below 1/2 MOA for 5 shots with factory rifles. I recently got my first custom barreled action. I’ve been doing load development for that and I’m extremely happy — it’s way beyond my standards! I’ve only shot four groups with the 38 grain load and a suppressor. My best 5 shot group at 100 yds measured 0.166”, with two other groups in the .2s and one in the .4s. The best group and the two worst ones are in the photo. The smallest group is also 1.68 calibers extreme spread - it feels like cheating to use little bitty 6mm ammo...
Weapon system: ARC Nucleus action, 26” Marksman profile 7.5 twist cut-rifled Rock Creek barrel in 6 Creedmoor, Magpul Pro 700 stock, Trigger-Tech Diamond trigger at 11oz, NF 1F 5-25x56x34 ATACR on a LaRue QD mount, a SilencerCo Harvester BB suppressor, and a Harris SBR and a rear bag seated at an occasionally shaking, shared shooting bench. The ammunition is virgin Peterson SRP brass with Berger 105 Target Hybrid bullets powered by 38.0 grains of Hodgdon H4350 with CCI 450 primers at 2880 fps with a 6.9 fps SD. The rifle also liked 37.4 gr at 2812 fps.
A big thank you to several Forum members for advice on dies, scale and powder thrower, press, etc. Great service from Patriot Valley Arms, but probably thanks to some of our forum members, I was at the wrong end of a very long line to get this Nucleus action. I’m not qualified to compare it to any other customs because it’s the only one I’ve had, but it’s my favorite so far.
