Hoping to see something, lots of active holes.Not one groundhog at the treeline edge at 150 yards where the corn meets this guy was on the prowl never made me due to favorable wind conditions, I let him have it dead on above his elbow, he disappeared in the woods at 10 O'clock made it about 50 feet. guess is he hunts this area and gh's are somewhat aware. No more. The Amish guy was ecstatic, when he saw this.For those who may not know that was a classic heart shot as the heart sits real low against the brisket bone , like deer they often run when shot this way,but all are recoverable, not one drop of blood till later fur soaks it up.
