Older Winchester 70 in 223 ?

I can pick-up a really nice used Winchester Model 70 in 223 with a laminate stock. I called Winchester and they said the rifle was built about 10 years ago. Probably a 1-9 twist.

Anyone have any experience with these rifles as I am thinking of buying it? What kind of groups can I expect with really good hand-loads.

Rifle has a Simmons Whitetail 6-18x42. Price seems high at 800. ?? Any idea of fair price, rifle has seen little use.

I would think 650.00 is more like it. The scope doesnt add much worth and maybe he will take it off and discount some.
