Not that I know of it was just what Remington labeled them as.Do they have the "Varmint" logo engraved anywhere on them? jd
I was wondering, because awhile back I was working on a similar rifle for a friend, and he called it a Rem 700 "Mountain Rifle". It is chambered in 7-08, and is a really sweet little rifle. Bolt was jammed full of so much crud that it was failing to fire. I'm sure it had never been apart since birth. jdNot that I know of it was just what Remington labeled them as.
