I wonder how many of us started out our shooting lives with a sweet little gem like this. My starter was admittedly not quite this vintage, but this one would have been enough to get me or anyone started.
I found this one at our local gun show the other day, and just had to grab it since I already had the parts rifle you see behind it. It was in need of a better main spring, and that was one of the parts that I had. Aside from that, it was in pretty good shape, with a bore that I'd call 80%. After installing the new spring, and cleaning it up, I took it out and used it as it has probably been used thousands of times in it's past; ushering ground squirrels into the great beyond.
Barrel code says it's a 1926 version, and it's fun to imagine how many boys or girls may have loved it over the years. Thanks for looking. jd
