Old print ad - 1980s I'm guessing.

Can someone help me remember a print advertisement that probably appeared in Guns & Ammo as well as American Rifleman? I'm guessing it was in the 1980s.

It had a picture of Pancho Villa and said:

"Up until now, the thought of carrying this much ammo was revolutionary."

Can you picture that ad? If you can think back, I'd appreciate it if you can remember which company ran the ad? It probably ran for two years.

Thanks so much.

If you are old enough to remember the picture you are probably too old to recall anything about it.
I do remember the photo, but can not remember anything about it. No I am pretty sure that it was in the Rifleman, and it sure seems like it might have been Winchester advertisement. Don't take that as gospel.

I remember the ad and have also seen that photo used in other articles, but as for date, not sure. Could be 50's or into the 70's.

I searched posters and ads, yeah I’m real busy, anywho, this is the best I could do.

If I had that much ammo I’d be wantin to celebrate.

A much older guy I worked with thirty years ago had grown up in Texas. His grandfather, a big rancher, had been kidnapped by Pancho Villa's gang, and ransomed unharmed for a herd of horses.
