Old Lyman Press

I bought a Lyman Ideal Ez Loader Press some time ago. It uses the tall type shell holders. I was looking at it today and noticed that there's a place for a third die but it's between the press linkage and it doesn't look like a standard die will fit. What is the third/center rear die position for? Thanks, Paul[size=12pt]

Paul I can't answer your question .... But in the event you want to unload that press on someone the gentleman who started this thread may be interested lol

Mr. Patch, sorry but I got it for "Heavy Duty" service. I bought it and haven't needed it yet, but I'm working in a wildcat where it may come in handy for case forming and other misc. duties. I don't know about all of it's accessories, but I know that it uses old style shell holders and an unusual primer feeder.Have you suggested that he watch the classifieds?
Mr. Bearman, In the pictures that are on the primer feeder box, the primer feeder mounts to the front right corner. Whatever goes in the center rear just about has to be screwed in from the bottom. The space between the 2 pieces of linkage where it's located is about 1/2" or maybe 9/16" on the top side. The picture that I mentioned shows a deprime/resize die on the left and a seater on the right and the primer feeder on the base front right. I can't see what is in the center. If anyone has any other Ideas please let me know. I would post a picture but I don't have any way unless you know how to do it with an old flip phone thats about 10 years old and maybe older.
Now that I'm thinking about it, when I put it on the bench I may have a cheap, worn, bottom of the line ("C" frame Lee Loader?) Lee press. When I bought I think it was $20-$25. It will probably will be a while yet.I appreciate the help, any other thoughts, Thanks again, Paul

Mr. Guffey, That's it, but on max. magnification I still can't tell what it is other than shiny metal. Thanks appreciate the effort, Paul
