Some rings/bases are 16 screws per scope; and yes, there are days I will do up to a two dozen in a day. I own a beam scale(Gearwrench), I do not find it convenient for my “operation”It goes pretty quick. What, maybe 3-5 minutes per scope? Is it a race? I like to take my time with stuff like this.

How many scopes are you torquing per hour? (This isn't a production tool if you're doing hundreds.)
Depending on a scope/rifle/purpose - I will both align and lap rings - 99% of DYI population do not even know what it means nor why…
I am not saying it won’t work, just not a first choice for everyone.
