Old ammo collection

I wasn't sure where to post this but do folks here collect old ammo?..
I've been coming across some older boxes from the 70's of rimfire 22lr..and I must admit those little boxes of 50 can get real addicting..
I think I have about 6 or 8 different brands in nice still closed boxes now ..im gonna see just how many I can find before I leave this earth..
My kids will just say dad was a pack rat lets go shooting...hahaha..but to me..I like the old cardboard and artwork that went into some of those little boxes..
These are 3 more I found in the bottom of a box...not sure if they all from the 70's but I love-em..

My friend Bobby told me while hunting once, if you want to kill it you must make it bled. So you have to use something from a red box, never green. I proved him wrong that very day.

Does any one know how many there are?..I suppose I need to be very specific because this could get out of hand real fast..haha.
I'm talking US manufacturing, 22LR only. That should make it a realistic chase for me..and give me a reason to get out to some gun shows or flea markets..come to think of it...remember back in the day it was nothing to buy a gun at a garage sale..no different then a blender..the world would stop turning if it happened today..hahaha
Simpler days..sure we're nice

Winchester, Remington, Peters, come to mind immediately, and of course they each made different products, different boxes as time went bye. I was in a little gunshop in Valencia PA yesterday and he had a bunch of different "antique" ammo/boxes displayed. What stopped me cold was the fact much of it was "modern" when I started shooting, and then there was the stuff on display that I called "old junk" when I was a kid, dating back to the turn of the century...not this one either! Now I consider it "stuff I knew when I was a kid!"

When I first got into the shooting sports, I started collecting cartridges with a goal of having a representative of as many as possible. I traded, purchased, and negotiated the acquisition of a bunch of different cartridges. My favorites were the 105 howitzer, 50-caliber machine gun and 458 Win Magnum. I also had a 44-40 cartridge.

I displayed them on a wooded shelving arrangement in the game room. It was like collecting stamps / coins.

As I got older and began adopting a minimalist attitude, I sold the entire collection for a handsome price. But I had fun collecting them and they were great conversational items with my buddies when we enjoyed a few "cold ones" in the game room.
