Old 107 SMK vs. new 107 SMK

Was wondering if any of you folks could explain the diff between the 2.

Reason being I have found a bunch of old 107's (6mm) in the cardboard box that happen to shoot lights out in my 6 BR. Are the new one's better? A guy at a match use's the new style and we compared them side by side and the old one's have a pointier tip and look like they have a higher B.C.

Please let me know what you all know.

The new lots made early 2014 on come pointed from the factory. That's the only difference.

Ok that makes sense,, the Hornady 105 HPBT must be pointed too because the tip's look similar to the new 107's. it just seems like a sharper pointier tip would give a higher B.C.
