OKC GUN CLUB

Texas Solo

B.S. High Master
Has anyone seen their 2026 schedule? I have family there and I'm thinking of a road trip in 2026.

Looking for a MR 600 F Class match. Not interested in monthly club matches. I'm sure they will have at least one big match.

I can't believe this. OKC has 1 big match per year...and they EXCLUDE F Class!!!

"We allow Fclass in all of our prone matches except the NRA National Mid-Range Matches" -

You need to go…. OKC Gun Club is a Great Club that attracts excellent shooters, has great facilities, is well organized and ran very safely. My son’s and I try to make it up (from Houston) at least once a year.

Easily our favorite club to travel to. Sounds like you may already have a place to stay. If not, We’ve had good luck with local Airbnb‘s. Also, I do believe they allow on-site camping…..clubhouse restroom even has a shower for tent campers.

At the big matches, one of the MD’s usually cooks a great BBQ meal… Pulled Pork etc.. After matches in the evening, I have seen a guitar come out for a few songs. Very friendly club, we have made some great friends there and hove some of our best Father/Son Memories there.

I would go…. I really think you’ll enjoy it.

Also, the range can be challenging at times. There are some elevation changes that can result in some induced vertical we are not used to seeing at Bayou Rifles, Panola or Beaumont (all on flat land). IIRC at least one of the wind flags (on right side of range) is no where near the bullet flight path (due to terrain features).

I'll go for a major 600yd match, but not 1000yd. There don't seem to be any big matches at 600yds.

The April and Sept matches are 600 AND 1000 yd shot at the same time on the same line. Pick your poison 600 F open or 600 F T/R and enjoy the range.
