OK to use different Primers?

I'm getting ready to load up some .223 and most of the data books call for Remington 7 1/2 primers and of course out of 4 different brands of primers I have, those are not one of them.

I do have some 6 1/2 primers but I don't think I can use those but then I have some Federal, Winchester, and Wolf primers that I could use.

Would there be any reason not to swap out the primers according to the load data?

as long as you start low and work up, it doesn't matter what primer you use . just remember, if/when you change primers, you need to do load work up again, as different primers give different results.

Don't use the 6 1/2 primers for 223. The increased pressures will lead to pierced primers which will eventually erode the bolt face and firing pin tip.
