Ok.. My Other 10/22

Finally got a chance to play with the Ruger 10/22! The set up is a ABRA benchrest stock, bedded to the action. Barrel is a Shilen 4 groove ratchet 21.75 inches long. I am using a Harrell's Tuner on it along with a JJ Slide (total weight is 16.2 ounces).


Here are the targets that i shot last night with it.. i was using SK Standard Plus, i still have not learned yet to shoot it consistently!


It was my fault that i shot that "49-2X" Not the gun or the ammo!



Finally got it together better! But i just barely got one ten on the right side.. whew!



These targets the X must be a "wipe out".. you can't just touch the dot, you have to obliterate it!

Looks like great shooting and a lot of fun to me. That’s the scope rail you were looking for a few weeks ago? Anything still Ruger except the receiver?

That is great shooting and a very nice rifle. I have been thinking about taking my stock 10/22 and creating a target rifle out of it. Would cut down on my FTR barrel and be a lot cheaper than the .308's.

What scope are you using on it?

Yes it is the scope mount that i was looking for.. it is a EGW 20 MOA..


And yes, it is a lot of fun!

The scope that i am using is the Vortex Golden Eagle and i wam running it on 40X right now. And i am using the ASR ring as well that came with it.

Wow...I couldn't shoot those groups if I pressed the muzzle to the target!!! Nice rifle and an even better shooter!!!!!...this post has to go down in forum history!!! I see groups posted like this all the time, but this is the very first time I have ever seen anyone post groups like that that wasn't "stressing" over something stupid. Some idiot will post a paper full of absolutely one hole groups and then ask, "which powder charge do you guys think I should go with" or "ladder test not going too well today".....or my other favorite,"look how the wind got me today!!"

i forgot to answer this question for you.. the only thing that is "Ruger" is the action body.. everything else in it is aftermarket.. ABRA bolt, Shilen barrel, Harrell tuner, JJ Slide, Kidd trigger, Not sure whom is making the stock, but i got it from Joe Chacon.. and he is the one that put the rifle together too..

Thank you sir.. it is our thursday night league target.. we shoot them at 33 yards from indoors to outdoors.. You have to wipe out the X in order to get it.. Considering that i am shooting against Turbos and one piece rests.. i feel very good about the way it is shooting.. as long as i don't "crack", the nut behind the butt plate can do pretty good..
