OK. Lapua 6.5 bullet weight variation

So I received my order today from Powder Valley. Bought three boxes each of 123 and 139 Scenars. The 123's hover between 123.4 and 123.6 grains. The 139's are 138.7 to 139 grains, but very few at 139.

This weighing process was not wholly voluntary, as every time I buy Lapua bullets, the boxes open in transit and spill into the shipping carton. So I had to play "52 pickup" with the bullets and weighed each one to make sure I put it in the right box.

I would have thought there would be closer weight variations. I'll go through again and segregate according to the tenth of a grain, but I was frankly a little bit disappointed.

its not the weight spread so much, its the coating concentricity that's important, and have to rely on the mfr to be sure its right - no way to check it.

Have no idea what Cassidy is talking about? Probably just my ignorance showing ??? Have you weight sorted any SMK's lately? When I sort, plus or minus 1/10th all go in the same pile. And usually the same hole. Stow the disappointment 'til after you shoot them. Just sayin"
