Oh yea another clicker thread

I want .002 minimum some chambers more, PRC's are an example. ADG and Lapua you want more than .002.
Basically whatever it takes to get rid of clickers, keep in mind you will not get smaller than virgin brass and as the brass gets shot more it gets harder so it has to get squeezed more.

What action?
Is the action/bolt timed right?

I don't think clearances are too tight, or that you need more sizing.
It’s a bighorn origin. It’s a new build never seen another barrel on it so I don’t have anything to compare to. The second firing on the brass I could feel em but they was only noticeable. Not bad at all. On the third firing it’s pretty bad. I colored one fired tight piece of brass black with a sharpie from ejector grove to halfway up the case and and another one in red, chambered both of them and didn’t really see much of any of the sharpie rubbed off the cases but they chambered hard. I am bumping the shoulders back .003 thousandths. Maybe the problem is not at the .200 line. My sized cases will drop in and fall out. I think I mentioned before that I got the brass and barrel lightly used. I set the barrel up with bare minimum head space and started with brass that had been fired one time in the barrel. Would it be worth my time to start with a new piece of brass to see how it acts ?

If my head space is at a minimum which it is but the previous owner was say .002 more would that cause an issue with the brass ? How can I tell if there is a timing issue with the action ?

Once again it’s the too many cooks in the kitchen internet cluster. Stop speculating, go back to what Tooley has said and follow whatever he tells you. End of story.
