Off-set Iron sights

I'm looking for someone who has experience shooting a target rifle from the right sholder but aiming with the left eye.

I have recently embarked on this project due to advancing blindnss in my right eye. I tryed to shoot from the left shoulder but this old body isn't flexable enough to allow getting into,a mirror image) position.

Several sight adapters have been constructed and tested in short range matches. So far, results are not good.

I'm looking for someone who has been down this road and is willing to give advice.

You need to talk to Therin King. He sometimes visits this site. I have not seen him on here in a while, but he too uses off-set sights.

I've made more than a few offset systems for customers over the years. Myself included.
There are a few parameters that are critical.

1. distance from center to center of YOUR eyes.
2. Any vertical dispersion from natural sighting eye to the other when you are in position.
3. A high quality bubble level is a must!
4. A highly reliable and repeatable index mechanism for on/off of the front sight.

Edit: The lateral offset also needs to take account of any deviation from perpendicular that may occur from natural eye to the offset one. -- Sine value. A laterally adjustable cheek piece can give you a bit of room to tweek this in.
