I have a used 35P. I set it up yesterday to check some 22-250 loads. After removing the bolt and looking through the barrel, I shot two shells.(I was doing a 2 shot powder test) and recorded the firat two shots. The printer did not work, I know there is an upgrade. The issue is, using my windage top, I moved to the second target. This time, only recording one velocity. Would moving that little cause the velocity to be missed?

Call Oehler, they have great customer service.
I've had one for 35yrs or so, never bothered using the printer, I just write things down on a pad I have with me. I can't be bothered with keeping a printer fed or with fixing them when they jam, etc, never even put a roll of paper in the printer since I owned it. I'd have to stop and mark the ticker anyway, so, may as well just write it down.

I love my 35P. I went down to Austin to Ken Oehler's Chrono School when they first came out many years ago. He and his wife bought a new Maroon 65 Mustang when they got married many years ago. They still have it.
I am a bit surprised you do not make use of the printer function. I shoot a 5-shot group, hit the button and tear the tape off and mark the target # on it. I walk down, or have my nephews go get it, and staple the tape to the target. Then I clean the rifle or rifles, and repeat.
