Odd Parallax Problem?

CharlieNC

After multiple attempts to adjust the eyepiece for clarity and dialing the parallax at 200 to 300 yards I still encounter significant horizontal parallax (several inches) but none in the vertical direction. I can dial this out but then the focus is very fuzzy. I have two scopes with this issue, and one has been adjusted by the manufacturer with no improvement. Checking carefully I do not have this issue on other brand scopes. Strange this is in the horizontal only, any ideas besides going back to the manufacturer?

Thanks to discussion with Boyd Allen problem fixed. Although I had read to look away between focusing increments on the reticle, I had dismissed the importance and not had a problem in the past. Well it was a big deal this time and was the source of my issue. Thanks Boyd.
