OCW on Brass not fired through my rifle

Is OCW laod development effective when using new brass & not brass that was fired in my rifle & FL sized to push the shoulder back 0.002"

Whats your end game and what precision do you require?
Not really sure. I want reasonably accurate ammo. Still trying to understand what the accuracy of my rifle is as well as how accurate I am under various field conditions. Would hope that the rifle/ammo would be capable of .75 moa at 600 yards.

Measure the brass and see how it compares to your sized brass. Run some through your sizing die and measure it. Then you can make an informed/educated decision.

I'd run the OCW test and come back and test around the node again after the brass is formed to your chamber to confirm.

I test with them all the time. By the time you get them fired in your chamber you'll have a good idea where to start tuning.

I've not seen any significant difference in given load's accuracy between new brass compared to proper full length sized brass from any decent rifle.

I'm not a fan of that OCW method.

What rifle are you using?

Was going to do it for my 700 .308 & Compass Lake AR15.
