OAL for 107 MK in 6 BR

I know that OAL will vary for different rifles. I am collecting data, shortest to longest.

What is the shortest and longest OAL you have used with a 107 Sierra MK in a 6 BR?

I typically don't measure OAL unless loading for an AR-15 magazine, and that is a rare event restricted to short, light bullets.

I always carefully measure CBTO (case base to ogive) but the actual number is meaningless to you because your measuring equipment is almost certainly different from mine. The data I collect is important, but only to me. Likewise, your CBTO data would me meaningless to me, but invaluable to you.

I am sure your intent was to be helpful but it appears that you have misinterpreted the question.

The information is useful to me as I am trying to optimize a chambering to accommodate two bullets of significantly different length, the Sierra 107 being the shorter of the two.

Knowing the maximum and minimum OALs that have been used successfully with the Sierra 107 will help me approximate the range of neck engagement that works for the 107. From that I can extrapolate amount of case intrusion of the longer bullet at those lengths and approximate the length of adjustment available for the two bullets that would be available to me. My interest at this time is the position of the bullet in the neck of the case and the amount of the bullet incursion into the body of the case and not the engagement of the bullet to the lands.

I am especially interested in the shorter and shortest OALs that have been used successfully as that will help indicate the greatest intrusion into the case and the position of the mouth of the case relative to the most forward part of the bearing surface.

If it might be useful to design a case with a longer neck to accommodate the two bullets I would like to be aware of that possibility before I chamber the barrel I have. The new 6 Dasher long neck brass could be reformed to achieve a case with the body length of a 6 BR but with a longer neck. That would not be all bad as I would not mind the case having a 40 degree shoulder ad this would give me the opportunity to do so. Or I may find that there is simply a limited range of adjustment that will be available to me in order to tune the cartridge with respect to engagement of the lands.
