I'm planning on stopping there in late March to try out my new 284 at 1000 yards. Looks like you have a great venue there.

Got vacation for this weekend and bringing my new (load testing starts tomo lol) 6.5x47 lapua. If all goes well gonna be there Sat and Sun. Maybe Michele will let me bring her gun if cant get a load up and running.

The wind got every one, there were not any good scores shot, even for my .223, the best I pull out was a 191-6X and I was excited with that.

Sunday was better, pulled out a 197-4X, 198-8X and a 195-6X.

I am in Ga for the Stars & Bars Regional match this weekend.

I haven't seen the scores yet. Wind on Saturday was pretty evil. From the SE (left) anwhere from 4 to 12, and switchy, there were times it came straight down the range. I heard more than a few people complaining of vertical issues.

If you look at the topo on google maps you'll see that the E to SE brings the wind over the hills so you get some odd currents. From the right it blows down the valley so it may be a bit more predictable. (Hey, it's my theory anyway)

Sunday was a 600 yard match, very light winds most of the day, almost nothing in the first relay but enough to keep anyone in F-class from cleaning it as far as I know. Later it picked up enough to what I think was 2 to 3 and again switchy. On one of my relays there were at least three of us that had just gotten a few sighters on target and it switched from left to right. You could tell because everyone sat up and waited.

I didn't realize that the matches were 20 shots till the last minute, I thought we were shooting 15, so I had to make bullets before I left on Sunday Morning. I didn't get enough loaded up to shoot a match so I used them for sighters. I didn't figure out till the 3rd time that the new ones were hitting between a 1/4 and a 1/2 min lower than the bullets that I was shooting for score so I basically gave up 3 to 4 points in the first 3 to 4 shots till I dialed down. (learned something)

I screwed up my first relay when the wind was almost calm. I had some operator errors and ended up with some vertical worked it out in my head and solved it for the last two matches.
