NRL Hunter type matches around North Texas?

Pretty much just what the title says... I'm in North Texas and looking to get into some practical long range matches that aren't barricade benchrest (aka PRS - nothing practical about running around with a 25 lb rifle and a bead filled couch cushion under your arm lol). Most of the stuff I'm seeing is all out west and I don't have the luxury of traveling like that for a hobby. Any input is appreciated!

Does anyone on this forum have a brief explanation of what these types of shoots entail?

There's some pretty good videos out on the tube that show really well what it's like to participate and they explain how it works as well. I'd start there, it looks challenging but also likely a load of fun.

The matches I've looked at are mostly multiple days, shooting at animal shaped targets at unknown distances. They're supposed to mimic realistic hunting scenarios more than barricade/obstacle shooting at steel like PRS. The PRS stuff has become a bit too pretentious for me, I like the more practical application of NRL Hunter style shooting.
