Scores for Day 1. Light turnout. I guess people forget how much cooler it is up on the mountain. Quite pleasant today, despite the scorching temps at lower elevation.

Thank you to the shooters that came and supported the matches this last weekend. Had an Average turn out both Sat and Sunday. Saturday i had a couple targets that wanted to be a pain in the butt, of course worked fine on Thursday and Saturday morning when i calibrated them. We had enough open targets to move shooters onto another, Mostly Tim, Soko, and Lewis. Apologies to you guys.
Day 1 We Saw a close race between Van Nguyen and Darin Minnear Van had Darin on the ropes until the third match when Darin ripped off a 198-12X in a much harder wind condition that rolled over from left to right, to right to left and then back again over his 15 min of shooting. This put him only one point ahead of Van in the F Open class. Van got revenge as he won the overall two day agg. As the ole sayin goes, you cant win if you dont show up.
VFB Team Mate Dwayne Lewis won the Prone sling cattagory with his trusty 6XC. and new shooter Gary Hughey won the FTR.
Larry Sollers drove up from Georgia, Battled it out with Local Shooter and Statistician for the match Jim Sokolowski on Sunday. Jim Edging Larry out by one point 596 to Larry's 595.

Hope this finds you all well and see you in September.

Hope to drive up the hill from Chattanooga in October. Would make the September match but going to be in Memphis that Friday night for a friend's final performance as Mark Twain, drive back Saturday to make a fundraising event on campus Saturday night.

Nice range, btw. I've enjoyed both my trips there so far after joining. Just wish I had more time right now to practice.
