NRA Approved Palma and 1000 yard Match
DATES: June 12, July 10
LOCATION: Oak Ridge, Tennessee. The ORSA range is located on the Oak Ridge Turnpike (State Route 95),
3.5 miles west of the intersection of Illinois Ave. (State Route 62) and the Turnpike. The range entrance is the first road on the left after stop light No. 16 at Nebraska Ave.
RULES: Current NRA Highpower Rifle Rules will apply.
ELIGIBILITY: Open.
CLASSIFICATION: NRA Long-Range classification will be used. Unclassified competitors will fire in a separate
class if 5 or more compete. Otherwise unclassified competitors will be combined with the Master class.
DIVISIONS: Palma Rifle, Match Rifle, Any Rifle/Any Sight, Any Rifle/Iron Sight, and “F” Class.
FEES: $20.00. (includes NRA fee of $4.50)
ENTRIES: Registration will be conducted at the 1000-yard line beginning at 9:30 am.
MATCH SCHEDULE: Firing will commence at 11:00am.
Match 1 - 800 yds, slow fire, prone, unlimited sighters and 15 shots fired in a 22 minute time limit.
Match 2 - 900 yds, slow fire, prone, two sighters and 15 shots fired in a 22 minute time limit.
Match 3 – 1000 yds, slow fire, prone, two sighters and 15 shots fired in a 22 minute time limit.
Match 4 – Aggregate of Matches 1, 2, and 3.
Match 5 - 1000 yds, slow fire, prone, unlimited sighters and 20 shots fired in a 30 minute time limit.
RIFLE: NRA Rules 3.1, 3.1.1, 3.1.2, 3.1.3, 3.2, 3.3, and “F” Class. Rule 9.1 does not apply.
SIGHTS: Metallic sights or Any sights.
AMMUNITION: NRA Rule 3.17 a&b, furnished by the competitor.
TARGET: LR. (LR-FC for F-Class competitiors)
SCORING: Competitors will pull targets and score for other relays.
CHALLENGES: A fee of $1.00 will be charged in advance for each challenge.
AWARDS: Awards will be presented to Match 4 winners in each division having 5 or more competitors registered.
Additional place awards by class for every 5 competitors registered in each division.

Just to let folks know that there is a 3X1000 on the day before this match. So You will have an opportunity to shoot 5 times at 1000 yards on these two weekends.

Squadding: Squadding for individual matches will begin at 9 A.M. Sunday.
Classification: The NRA Full-Bore system will be used for all matches. Unlimited sighters and 15 shots for record in a 22 minute block time, 223 or 308 calibers for competition, all other calibers will not be eligible for prizes or awards.
Divisions: There will be four divisions: service rifle, any rifle, F-Open, and F-TR.
Five or more entries are required to make an award in a Division. A Palma
division will be added if there is sufficient interest. Competitors must
declare division to the statistical officer before firing begins.
Change of division after this time will result in ineligibility for open or aggregate awards.
Rifles: Rifles are defined in rules 3.1, 3.1.1, 3.1.2, 3.1.3 for service rifles, rule 3.2
for any rifle, rule 3.3.3 for Palma rifle, and rule 3.4 for F-Class.
Rule 9.1 does not apply.
Scoring & Pits: All competitors shall perform scoring and pit duties.
Ammunition: Rule 3.17, provided by the competitor.
Targets: The LR target will be used at 800-900-1000 yards. (LR-FC will be used for
F-Class) Mid-Range target will be used for 300 yard & 600 yards (MR-1. MR-1FC for F-Class competitors).
Additional: The management reserves the right to refuse any entry or cause the
withdrawal of any competitor who endangers or interferes in any way with
the harmony of the match. We also reserve the right to change the match
program without notice if deemed advisable. Competitors and spectators
assume all risk of accident and loss of property.
Under Full-Bore rules we can shoot teams as well, this would be great practice for Camp Perry this year, coaching will be allowed. Anyone interested shooting or coaching please email phendra@tds.net or froggyone2you@hotmail.com.
