I asked the same question about a month and half ago and got little response. The member who did respond spoke very highly of the ER series so I ordered one. When I received it my Father and I played with it at dusk sitting on the porch overlooking the fields comparing it to several other scopes, it compared very favorably concerning light gathering, clarity and the feel of the turrets. I mounted that one on a 25x47L I just got back and sighted it in, it's a pleasure and surpassed expectations. I liked it well enough I bought another ER since they were at such a discount at Europtics.

Then I received notice of the sale on the ER5. That series is designed in Germany and built here in the US. I can't find a lot of reviews on the ER5 series, the few comments I find are very favorable. I bought three of the 3-15 ER5s, the current sales price at Europtic is just too good. Remember too that they will take the scope back if your not satisfied, their customer service is 5 star. I'm not affiliated with them, I know this from personal experience of dealing with that company for a long time.
