The Shooters Pro Shop "Factory Seconds" appear to be pretty consistent. Apparently what makes them "seconds" is that some, not all, have a very slight dent from what appears to be the tipping operation, so I'd expect a slight deviation in the BC. Over coffee this morning I grabbed a handful and took some measurements.

The base to ogive was quite consistent with only one or two that was ~.005 long or short of the average. I figure that in a SAAMI chamber they will run about 2.365" cartridge OAL at the lands. To confirm Ludd's observations, there is a LOT of bullet in the case using shorter throats.
If the weather cooperates I'll shoot some this week.
