Nosler .221 fireball brass for .20 Vartarg

Is anyone doing this, and can you tell me what you neck o.d. measurement is with a loaded bullet.

Thanks in advance,

Tony.

I was getting .231 necking down the Nosler 221 brass my rifle has a .232 neck so I had to turn some.

I just finished a lot of 100 Nosler 221FB cases, formed and annealed to 20VT. I had to take a light neck turn cut to even up the neck thickness, and the finished neck thickness is now .0126".

Loaded round neck dimension (O.D.) in my Cooper is .228". Most .20 cal Coopers seem to run a neck I.D. of .232", so this is plenty of clearence and has worked in this rifle now for just over 2,800 rounds.

Neck thickness will run anywhere from .014-.017". You will have to neck turn to get a consistent run out and bullet tension.
