Nosler 105 RDF

as posted heard and seen the mixed reviews on the 105's

Gonna load some for my dasher have 135 FB what have they liked (in general) for seating depth?

I have found them to be pretty jump-tolerant in my Dasher barrel. I'm .010 short of the lands, getting good results.

So far in my seating tests, a few thousandths IN have shot the best (at 1000yds) in two 8-twist barrels, but have done limited testing with them to this point. Want to try them (and the 110-SMK) in faster twist barrels before I move on any further with 8-twists.

I may tinker a bit more. How far are you into the lands? I'm getting groups in the mid-twos at 100 seated .010 off, but I have not yet had the opportunity to shoot them at longer range.

I'm loading my RDF's 0.025 from the lands. That worked for the Hybrids in my barrel so I simply calculated the extra case volume due to the base end of the bullet not extending into the case as far as the Hybrid, worked the load up on Quickload with the extra case volume and added 0.3 gr to the load and the muzzle velocity was the same as the Hybrids.

Only REAL difference between the Hybrids and RDF's, the RDF's shot better!

Donavan thanks. I have shot a few looks like could be some potential need to do ton more testing. So far just close range (400). Maybe winter project. Jim
