If you look just to the outside of his left knee you can see why he is the cleaner. Look at all them 8lb Hodgdon jugs, he practices.

I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Those jugs are full of water or empty. We have them full of water in the pits to make the paste needed to glue the targets. Those jugs have been there for years. There is not running water in the pits. There is a pond sometimes, but we have to fight off the alligators if we fill the jugs. Sometimes the water carrier loses the fight and we don't get the water so we accumulate water jugs to make up for when the guy doesn't come back from the pond.

I will suggest to the club that we fill the empty jugs with popcorn until they get filled again when the crick and alligators rise again. Nothing like casting corn and aspersions on still waters.

I was squadded with Norm and Shane last week when Norm cleaned the targets. I was relay 1, Shane was relay 2, and Norm was relay 3. One thing you might not know about Norm is that he's very kind to old people.

This was my first match since the Nationals and I was not on paper on the first shot. Norm said "hold the phone, I'll get my spotting scope and we'll get you on paper." He fetched his scope, set it up and then on my next shot he diagnosed the problem and offered a solution, which I gladly accepted. I was in the black (an 8) at 3 o'clock on the next shot. Without his help, I was not going to shoot that day.

Norm is good people as well as a great shooter. And by the way, so is Shane.
