hi there ,I was thinking of using Norma brass in 2506 ,has anyone used them and how would you rate there brass thanks guys .

When I had my first after market barrel installed (.243) back in 1974 the smith sold me 100 pcs. of Norma brass for it. I can't begin to tell you how many times I reloaded those cases. I was using the old H4831, 44.5 grains with an 85 gr Sierra. I don't know if that is considered a "hot" load or not but, those cases served me very well for a long time.

nmkid, I believe you, but there are those that push brands and want me to believe them just because they say so; and then I am not allowed to disagree with them. I do not have 'a lot' of new brass, I have brass that I have used that was later determine to be suspect, by that time I had shot the cases 3 times; I thought the cases were magnificent so I added the cases to the collectable drawer. The biggest complaint made by reloaders is "the cases are too soft and the primer pockets open up".

A reloader could determine how soft brass is without firing them, had I know about the suspect cases I could have tested them, by measuring the diameter of the case heads before firing and again after I decided the cases I purchased were not suspect. That lead me to believe the manufacturing process was flawed meaning not all the cases were made with the same process.

Norma, Lapua, Nosler, and Starline are my "expensive" brass. They get the greatest care and provide more bang for the buck, if I do my part. My opinion....there are always exceptions......I only have a few Norma...Lots of Lapua and Starline...
