Norma 7 saum brass??

I have been sizing 300 Norma/Nosler to 7 RSAUM for several years now. Works fine, but I have noticed that both the 7 and 300 RSAUM brass measures slightly below, by about .010 than SAAMI and the Remington brass length. Generally I buy from either Midsouth or Midway by putting the brass on the "wish" list and waiting for a sale which seems to happen about once or twice a year. Even though the Remington brass is SAAMI length, it typically has softer primer pockets that are out of size after even one firing, and almost always by two or three loadings so I stay clear of the Remington brass.

Are you having to neck turn after necking down to 7mm? Are you getting a donut after necking down?

I have 2-7 SAUM's, I run Remington brass in the short action and it has been GREAT! on my 8th
firing and possibly the last. 168 Berger Hunting VLDs @ 3060. I have 250 virgin pieces of Reminton ready to go. They do require a bit of work to get them GTG.
I Ran Nosler 7 SAUM brass in my long action and got 1-2 accurate firings. The bodys started to split
after around 3-4 firings! Crickets from Nosler! I offered to send them the split brass.
Both rifles chambered with the same Reamer. (Long throated and short.) The Nosler brass required trimming every 1-2 firings . The Remington brass every 5th. The Norma brass is shorter as shortthroat
states. I just did some load development with the Sized Norma a couple of weeks ago and looks
very promising so far. Only shot out to 1050, but was Looking Real good.
