I just looked up the price..Wow! JMHO, but the Lapua brass is great and 35% cheaper. The norma would have to be something beyond special before I'd consider it over Lapua. The Lapua Grendel brass is as good or better than any brass, for any cartridge, that I've ever dealt with. Outstanding, really. I'm surprised that Norma has started making it. The cartridge is wonderful but still seems like a boutique cartridge in terms of popularity vs many others. I hope the Norma is as good as the Lapua because I kinda doubt there is enough demand for premium brass for this caliber to support both Lapua and Norma making it. Hopefully I'm wrong and both are excellent and remain available long term.Anyone used the Norma 6.5 Grendel brass? I'm considering trying some in my 6mmAR instead of the Hornady that I have been using. The Hornady is fine but seems to pretty soft. I know the Lapua brass works well, but I am curious about the Norma. Thanks for the info.
This doesn't answer your question, but I've used Lapua/AA brass for years in the Grendel. Some cases have 10 reloads on them. The only way I've lost any is split necks. I anneal, but still lost a few to necks splitting.
I don't know how any other brand can take the pounding that Lapua does.
I've never considered even trying Hornady in the Grendel.
Well I ordered 200 pieces, we'll see how they do.
