Norma 6.5 130g VLD

Published is .548, but NECO says "independent testing" puts it at .590.

It is definately higher than .548. The 123 LAPUA is .547,if I remember correctly) and the 130 is no doubt higher.

I am not certain I agree with that - the 123 Lapua has a much shorter bearing surface with a pretty long front end and a pretty good size boat tail. The 130 Norma has an exceptionally long bearing surface, longer than a 142 Sierra) and a more blunt front end and boat tail. It seems that Norma bullet was originally designed for a chamber like the old military 6.5 x 55's that were designed to shoot bullets with a more blunt ogive and a long bearing surface.

I havent tested the b.c.'s of each but the 130 seemed to do better in the wind in my 6.5 Grendel bolt rifle. There was not a significant difference, but I did notice a difference.
I had a VERY hard time trying to work up a load with the 130's. They were very seating depth sensative.
