Does anyone make 223 or 222 brass with no headstamp? The picture of starlines 223 basic brass has stars and dashes on it. I'd like it blank so I can engrave it myself with a wildcat

Since this is all custom and stuff
Have you thought about chucking it in a lathe and just facing the head clean
Maybe use 222 Mag brass and then size it down to 223 afterward?

A call to HSM might get you some, they have somebody stamp there 223 or they do it.

I was thinking about doing it with a pantograph I made for my milling machine. Im sure I could do it. Wouldnt be fast, but it would work.
Thought about turning the headstamp off on the lathe. But the rims on 223 aint all that thick to start with.

A skilled CNC guy could easily do the 'engraving' on a blank case head. Set up a number of cases in a jig, let the machine go at it and get ten engraved cases at a wack. Not a big deal really.

No idea if anyone offers small quantity of unmarked brass, but Starline does offer what they call "basic" brass of a few kinds that are used for making wildcats.
These are generally only going to have the star and line with no other markings. If you really wanted to mark your own, this isn't going to help.
