Nitride Rifle barrels

I've been on the fence now for about 6-7 years about this, I have seen it screw up SS barrels but never a CM barrel.
Well I wanna try Nitride a CM 20 cal barrel as kinda a test my question is you guys who have done it how many rounds have you put down the barrel before you do it.
I know its gotta be scrubbed down to bare metal before its nitrided just curious of you nitride guys thoughts.

Id just make sure the throat is fully prepped by a gunsmith that knows how to match finish a chamber so no break in is necessary then do it. Dont trust that you scrubbed it good enough

I've put 6 rounds down it so far, 1, 2, then 3 and so far zero copper.
