Anyone here manage to make it to SHOT 2010? We were registered & had hotel reservations; planned to drive out, but the storms that hit SoCal and moved on out into Arizona scotched our plans. One of the things I wanted to research while at the show was - does Nikon have anything in the works to replace the former Monarch Tactical 30mm tube (2.5-10x44 & 4-16x50) tactical line? They renamed them Monarch X a couple of years ago; Natchez & JSC have been running close-outs on the remaining stock for nearly a year now.
I really like the 4-16 (have several on LR rifles), and so am curious - does anyone have the skinny on whether Nikon announced a replacement or update on these scopes at SHOT this past week?
