Nikon Spotting Scope

I'm looking for a Nikon Field scope for shooting. Best price so far on the net I have seen is $789.00 Anybody know a good source for this scope at a better price????? I'm looking for the 20-60X with an angled eyepiece.

Thanks

dlong: I cannot comment on the particular model you are interested in, but I recently bought the Nikon Fieldscope 111 ED, 82mm, 25 to 75x eyepiece. Competed in a G'hog match out to 500 yds., and was able to spot 6mm holes, although admittedly with some difficulty in heavy mirage. 400 yds. was fine, so I must have been approaching the limits. Very satisfied with my Nikon.;)

Its the 8336 Model. Fieldscope III 20 -60 -60. No ED Lens. Looking to see bullet holes at 100 yards to 300 yards. Got a good price from Optic zone

I'm glad i waited to actually see and hold one of those Nikon Fieldscopes. While in NYC the other day I went to Cameraland and they actually had a fieldscope in stock, straight lens not a angle lense. Well I was very dissapointed. It seemed like the cheapest POS I ever handled. It was very light, no heft at all. My 20 year old bushnell trophy had more heft to it. Think I'll pass for $750.00. It was quite the dissapointment. The only nice thing about it was the cover it came with. Think I'll use my trophy until I an afford a scope with some beef to it.

'Heft' is what you want, instead of clarity, resolution, brightness, and quality?

Tape a brick and a hamburger to your Trophy, and you'll have your heft and beef at the same time, to go with mediocre optics.

Well I bought the Nikon fieldmaster 82mm 25-75x from the optic zone. Great price. I will post a review when I get it. I also bought the sinclair bench mount for the scope. Nice product with very high quality.
