Nikon Monarch vs. Vortex

Anyone have an opinion on what is the better scope?

My dollars will only go so far so I am down to the Nikon Monarch 8x32x50 or the Vortex 6x24x50.

Which Vortex? If its the Crossfire line I would say the Nikon, hands down.

I love my vortex. I have a nightforce benchrest, leupold vxiii and countless others. the vortex is very nice.

Tim one thing to remember here,to what and how much elevation you will be needing for your needs.For me I have leaarned a lot in the past few days about scopes and I have to say that I was ounce a Nikon fan.Now I have gone to Vortex and Sightron for my needs.The Nikon Monarch just want cut it for me,not enough elevation for me.( 308 at around 2500fps ) The one inch tube will not give the number of moa needed to make a 1000 yard shot with my load.Plus the cost of the two that I have picked really isn't that much more in price.

Now if you are running 2700 or more fps in your rifle with your load,then please take my opinion with a grain of salt.My accurate but slow load just needs more moa that a 1 inch tubed scope want offer.So as of now with my setup I am or will be getting one of the two for my needs,but would still get a Nikon for an all day hunting rifle.
