Nikon Black X1000 or vortex pst gen II

Does anyone have any hands on comparison of these two scopes? I’ve been looking at the vortex but a buddy is pushing me to the Nikon and its less money? Curious what’s your thoughts

Look at elevation last i looked Nikons is very limited 17 mrad means not even one turret turn if centered.

I have the Nikon x1000 MOA reticle/turrents in 4-16x50. It sits on a 20moa 1pc rail.
From my 100 yd zero I have 2.6 (2 full +6.3) turns till it bottoms out and 6.11 turns (6 full + 11.1) till I run out of elevation.
This is on my p-dog rig and I have no problem when I have to dial up or down.
Dialing up and shooting 1x at 100-500 yds, then 500yds back down to 100 yds shooting at each 100 yd steel then 5 shots at 100 yds is right back dead on. No tracking issues at all. All Windage/elevation turns are solid clicks with no mushiness.
Clarity is really great IMO. I have 2000+ rounds into p-dogs using this scope.
Resetting to zero after sighting in all you do is pull the turrent up and set to 0 with no tiny screws to deal with & I like that also.

The PST Gen II is an entirely different animal from the Gen 1. WAY better glass, much better turrets, better reticles, better illumination, pretty much better than the Gen 1 in every aspect. And of course it has a higher price tag for those upgrades.

The Nikon Black X1000 6-24 is a nice scope, and I would agree that it has better glass than the PST Gen 1, but the new PST Gen II definitely has better glass than the Nikon.

I just got a new FX1000 MOA, got it mounted on my 6br and will be going out in the next day or 2 to sight it in. So far, I am impressed with it.
