I'm in the market for a scope as I have one rifle that is naked at the moment. Nightforces Velocity reticle would seem to fit the need that I have but there seems to be a glitch in the calculator that is on their website. When I input my data, and it generates a recommended reticle, there is always a note that says something to the order of "not recommended due to greater than 0.5 MOA blah blah" and so on. I can modify the velocity in the calculator and never make the numbers come close to matching. In fact, the program will generate a "U" shaped trajectory if I manipulate the velocity far enough which obviously is not possible. The other confusing issue is that the reticle it chooses is near the middle of the range of trajectories and it should select another reticle based on the gaps in MOA between the different reticle offerings. Do any of you gentlemen have any experience with this thing and does it actually CORRECTLY aid you in choosing a scope, or is it garbage in garbage out?
