I was wondering if anyone has tried one of these scopes for varmint hunting and what their thoughts were about the scope?

Nicest piece of glass bar none for under $1000! great power range for carry hunting gun and a slam dunk for it's intended purpose.
Wish they would make one with a little more power in this series but that is wishing for a lot.

nightforce gave me two for my last big shoot to give away and got to look through them and play with the knobs. Looked and felt great. it has caps, so some guys do not like that, but great glass
