Nightforce nxs 1/4 clicks too much!

looking for some insight to a problem im looking to solve. getting ready for my first groundhog match and have ran into a small problem. my poi is on either side of the x ring at 500 yds. basically forcing me to "hold" the shot. one click on my widage takes me to one side or the other of the ten ring. at this poist is see the value of 1/8inch clicks. however, i felt that between hanging a plumbob at 300yd {mid distance} setting my gun and rest level i should be able to get my vertical crosshairs lined up well. at this point i thought i might be able to put in an offest insert in the burris signature rings? really didnt want to chance the scope base if i didnt have to.{ nightforce also}. anybody been there before? who has the answer?

I don't have a problem with holding, in my experience as soon as I adjusted my windage knob the wind changed, so I never dial for windage anymore I only hold, I recommend you check the calibration of your scope, its a simple not very time consuming task that needs to be done whenever a new scope comes into your fold.

not required, you could just use a ruler and paper and make these yourself

instructions from a Master nobody here has ever heard of

I wouldn't say nobody, I have a copy of it I got from this site.

Fordwrench,
How big is the X ring on your target? at 500 yards each click should move your X hair 1.250" as stated any little wind shift you would have to hold anyways.
Wayne.
