Nightforce NX8 F1 Rifle Scope 30mm Tube 4-32x?

Looking for a multipurpose scope. It'd bounce around between fun longrange guns, some f-class matches, maybe shooting a coyote, etc.

I'm a big fan of my Nightforce Comp's so I was looking at the NX8 4-32. But I have a friend who's trying to talk me out of it.

Anyone have any feedback? Or know of a comparable scope that checks all the boxes?

I think it's a great scope. However, its fairly limited when I can actually crank the power up that high and see something. I'd take another one if I found a deal on it...

I've got one on an AR15 P-Dog rig. I really like it a lot. Like others have said, not great at 32 power. Keep it at 25 or under, it's great. Eye box is a bit tight too. Good glass, good reticle.

I dont have the F1, but have the 4-32 in F2. It's a great scope...only real con that I can think of is the eye box is considerably tighter than other scopes. The NX8 glass and ATACR glass was close enough to be a non issue, with the edge to ATACR. It's HEAVY though.

I got one coming. Will report back.
I own two NX8 4-32 F1's. Both exactly alike with Mil-C reticle.
Pros:
I believe their glass to be on par with the NF Comp and they both track and hold perfectly. Not too weighty either.
Cons:
I wish NF would build their optics with yardage marked parallax turrets and (if they ever do) ones that are as accurate and easy to use as all my Vortex scopes.

I think March and S&B might have something that would check the boxes if you're gonna drop that much coin..

i like my nf comps also and bought a nf nx8 ffp 32 with the moar reticle. i had an nxs32 with the moar-t and loved it but it just didn’t have enough internal elevation adjustment for me. i like the nx8 but hate the moat reticle, well maybe not the reticle by itself but i hate the thick moar paired with ffp. on 32 power the reticle is just so thick and i’m in no way used to that. other than that the scope is great. i ran it to 1400 yards a few times with my 300wsm so far and it tracks and returns beautifully. if i get rid of it, it will just be traded for another nx8 32 sfp scope with the dual scale moar-t reticle they have now. as always if you buy a nf and don’t like it they have a good resale value and good customer service.

I've used it a couple of times now. I will admit that the reticle is a bit thick at 32x - but manageable. The glass is incredibly clear. I'll have it side by side with a comp this week but I feel like it's brighter than the comp.

I wanted something high end for "tacitcal" type guns, and it fits the bill precisely.

I like mine, but I think I'm bringing it back to swap for a new one. The reticle shuts off, but still seems to draw power. Eats batteries overnight.

Who is this friend? It’s a terrible scope for the money.
