Nightforce Competition Fixed 42x44

What's the predicted in stock date? Was just about to pull the plug on the comp 15-55 scope. I would assume this being a competition stock that it will come with zero stop, but website doesn't come out and say it.

My 15x55 doesn't have zero stop. I would think since it's a target scope and not a hunting scope that it will not have Zero Stop. Matt

Wait about a week and the date will probably be announced at the SHOT Show.

I would be surprised if it is produced with zero- stop. If the 42x44 has 10 MOA per revolution, most people really will not need zero-stop for anything less than mid range distances. From the limited info I have read about the 42x44, this new scope seems designed for the short range game. Light weight, fixed power, reticle choices, and low internal adjustment range all say that this will generally not interest a lot of tactical or longer range people.

Before you spend the cash, give it some thought. The 15-55 and the 42 are different animals, and you don't want to put a square peg in a round hole.

My 2013 NF 15-55x52 Competition scope did not come with zero stop. My 2014 model (received it last summer) does.

I don't particularly have a use for it on a target scope; I usually keep it dialed down out of the way.

I did not look into the adjustment range, good thing you said something. My first thought was great i loved my fixed power scope, but not on a 6br benchrest gun that i'm looking to get 6-8 hundred yards out of it. Looks like 15-55 still might be the go to.
