nightforce beast

Hey guys, I am having a tac rifle built and I am wanting to know the very best optic avalable. The new nightforce BEAST has caught my eye. I am open to other top shelf options, and would love some oppinions on schmit bender, us optics, etc. Rifle will consist of AICS 2.0 folder, Defiance deviant action, 24" brux 6.5 fluted barrel ( 1 in 8.3 ) and a thunderbeast titanium suppressor. Chambered in 260 remington. I will use this for tac competion , and maybe self preservation if society continues on its downward spiral. Thanks for the help

Other than sheer curiosity as to exactly what point on the downward spiral would strike you as suitable to roaming streets, woods and hilltops with a precision rifle (surely causing said spiral to curve upwards...), owning a S&B PM II obliges me to answer.

The Schmidt & Bender are topnotch. I don't own a "Beast" or any other scope with a funky acronym that boasts it "best of advancedness", but I have looked through a nightforce or two, and know I prefer the S&B. That being said, it's potatoe pohtahto as the NF owners I know will say the same, yet differently. The S&B has a pretty good rep among some folks who are out there bending the spiral in far away places, if that rocks your boat. Good luck picking a scope, and don't run for the hills at the first perceived signs of "trouble". Could be that patient zero was just some guy hopped up on bath salts, and it would suck to find your house foreclosed upon whilst waiting out the zombie apocalypse.

YMMV

The " downward spiral " comment was meant to be tounge and cheek. I am a only a papaer puncher. F class is fun, but the tac competitions look to be some good exersize, and something new for my ADHD mind. The S&B definately looks tempting, but the jurry is still out. Thanks for the input.

The S&B 5-25 PMII is an awesome scope, I know I own one but for br shooting the BR nightforce is a nice scope and better by far then the br S&B 12-50 I think it is, it is not nearly as clear or nice as the 12-42 nf and the new 15-50 night force is wayyyyy nice, looked through my first one this weekend, I am gonna own one for sure.
Wayne.

P.S just read your original post, for the type of shooting your gonna be doing the S&B may be a very good option for you, there clicks are very positive and they have hold over marks in the scope and the glass is un beatable.

My entire reply, save the S&B comment, was of the same. All puns intended. A little touch of funny never hurts. Good luck picking a scope. As for the beast, I am curious how it will review as it does look marketing-gimmicky.
