Last pic doesn't look like it but sun was down for a bit and it was starting to get pretty dark! Cabin is about 500 yards away! I think it was about 10 power

I have a NIB 12-42x56 w/ npr1 I've been thinking of hocking to get an ATACR. I really could use the extra adjustment since I've been fooling around past 1760 quite a bit lately. Plus the 5-25x is a solid and practical mag range. It's just a beast of a scope. Hope you give it hell and get it nice and broke in. Way too many NFs out there as Safe Queens, status symbols, or just shot 3 times a year. :(

The 1 moa wind stadia is an awesome upgrade. I do wish they would put a real short mil scale in moa scopes (and vice versa) somewhere out of the way so you can help others out, but people are a little too straightlaced for that kind of jazz.

Good thought: Glad you are pleased with it.

I totally agree with this comment. I have a NXS F1 with the NP-RF1 reticle and it is terrific for holding wind if you don't want to dial. When I compare it to my 8-32 NXS with the NP-R1 reticle I really prefer the 1 moa wind graduations. Everything is a trade off though. At long range I like the thinner reticle of the NP-R1; that's the only reason I didn't go with the MOAR. Decisions, decisions, decisions...life is rough. Guess I'm doing fine if this is my biggest dilemma. ;D

Would love to try the ATACR. Let us know your thoughts please.

Very nice! I saw both the ATACR and the BEAST at the Shot Show last month here in Las Vegas, NV.
Both are really a nice addition with serious upgrades to the Nightforce family. I personally have two
of the NXS 5.5-22x50mm on my rifles.

I'm probably going to go with the BEAST for my new build which will be done later this year. Can't wait!

Mark, before you buy a B.E.A.S.T. make sure you understand how the elevation turret with quarter-click lever works... and that you actually like that feature. Nightforce achieved an amazing amount of elevation in B.E.A.S.T. design, but the lever is something very new and different. You dial half-MOA clicks and then pop the lever for next quarter-MOA. It will take some getting used to...
